This program provides up to $8,000 per scholar through an education savings account (ESA), allowing Utah K-12 families the freedom to personalize their child’s education.

In January 2023, Utah Governor Spencer Cox signed House Bill 215 into law, launching the “Utah Fits All Scholarship” program. This $82.5 million initiative expands school choice for Utah families, offering new opportunities to personalize your child’s education. The program provides up to $8,000 per K-12 student each year to help cover qualified education expenses like private school tuition, tutoring, curriculum, online programs, and more.  

Designed to empower parents, this law supports your ability to select the best educational path for your child while complementing Utah’s excellent public school system. Starting in the 2024-25 school year, the program gives families access to funds through an education savings account, making it simple to explore a range of learning options that suit your student’s unique needs. As Utah’s first universal school choice program, it reflects a commitment to enhancing education freedom and providing families with flexible, innovative solutions.
