Kendra Brace

Kendra Brace

High School Science

Mrs. Brace currently mentors scholars in high school chemistry and physics. She has a deep love and passion for these subjects and looks forward to guiding scholars through the wonder and beauty of both, helping them enjoy and appreciate the truths we can uncover through them.

Kendra has five children, four of whom have already graduated, and one who attends John Adams Academy. One of her favorite authors is C. S. Lewis, who wrote one of her favorite books, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. She is inspired by the following quote from this classic work:

“What I mean is that I think chaps who set out like us will look as silly as – as those Dufflepuds – if we come home and say we got to the beginning of the world’s end and hadn’t the heart to go any further.”

—Rynelf, in C. S. Lewis, *The Voyage of the Dawn Treader*

This quote reminds her of the importance of not giving up in the face of the unknown, emphasizing that the decision to keep going is both beautiful and worthwhile.
