Josephine Ashworth has been teaching grades K-2 at John Adams Academy since 2020. She is passionate about fostering a love for learning and servant leadership in young scholars. Even in an online setting, Josephine strives to make learning engaging and hands-on, while providing scholars with opportunities to develop as great leaders and supportive friends to their peers.
Josephine’s favorite aspect of John Adams Academy is its commitment to teaching scholars not only *what* to think, but *how* to think. She values the American Classical Leadership Education (ACLE) model for its ability to equip scholars with the tools to seek virtue, truth, and wisdom across all subjects. She has developed a deep appreciation for classic literature through her time at JAA, with two of her favorite children’s novels being *Pinocchio* and *Heidi*. She admires the valuable lessons the main characters learn in these stories, which resonate with both children and adults alike.
