Parental Choice Tax Credit Program
Apply to JAATalk to AdmissionsOn February 27, 2025, Idaho Governor Brad Little signed House Bill 93 into law, launching the “Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit” program. This $50 million initiative expands school choice for Idaho families, offering new opportunities to customize your child’s education. The program provides an annual refundable tax credit of up to $5,000 per grade school student—or $7,500 for students with disabilities—to help cover qualified education expenses like private school tuition, tutoring, textbooks, and more.
Designed to empower parents, this law supports your ability to choose the best educational path for your child while complementing Idaho’s strong public school system. Effective immediately, the program reimburses families who opt for nonpublic education options, making it easier to access a variety of learning environments tailored to your student’s needs. As Idaho’s first private school choice program, it reflects a commitment to enhancing education freedom and providing families with flexible, innovative solutions.
